How did you hear about your internship?

I first heard about the internship at Syfan Logistics through a fellow student who recommended I check it out. Around the same time, I saw a posting on Handshake and started following the company on LinkedIn. What really caught my attention was Syfan’s strong commitment to community involvement and service- it made me even more excited to apply and be part of a company that values giving back.

What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?

My favorite part of this internship has definitely been the people. Everyone I’ve met has been so welcoming and supportive, which made it easy to feel comfortable from the start. I’ve especially enjoyed getting to know the other interns. The entire Learning and Development Team has offered classes and information that has set us up for success. On top of that, having the chance to work on real, meaningful projects has made the experience even more valuable. 

How will this help you in the future?

The internship has given me real-world experience that I know will be incredibly valuable in my future career. Working full-time and planning out my workdays has helped me build a strong sense of time management. I’ve also learned how to communicate with customers, and I’ve gained a lot more confidence when making sales calls. On top of that, being introduced to Lean Six Sigma has given me a new perspective on efficiency and problem solving that I can carry into any role after graduation.
