Scholarships
A limited number of music scholarships are available to outstanding students who declare a major in music or who commit to substantial participation in the activities of the music programs on the Dahlonega or Gainesville Campus.
Music scholarships come from a variety of sources and have specific requirements. Students wishing to be considered for a music scholarship must submit the and complete an audition.

Claire de Lune Scholarship | Students majoring in music or music education who demonstrate leadership and serve as role models for fellow students. |
Cromartie/Hubbs/Boston Scholarship | Students majoring in voice or choral music education that demonstrate talent and/or scholastic achievement. |
Forsyth County Arts Alliance Arts Scholarship | Students majoring in music education with junior or senior standing and a minimum 3.2 GPA who are residents of Forsyth County and graduates of Forsyth County High School. |
Gloria Shott Fine Arts Scholarship | Students majoring in music or music education that show high academic potential and demonstrate superior talent. |
Gordon and Cookie Barrow Endowed Scholarship | Students majoring in music or music education. Preference for a male student in 1. Composition or Voice, 2. Piano, or 3. Double Reeds. |
Jim and Jamie Self Endowed Scholarship | Students majoring in music or music education whose major instrument in Tuba and has completed at least one year of their music program. |
John and Margaret Cromartie Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund | Major in music or music education. |
John Lancaster Memorial Scholarship Fund | Students majoring in music or music education that demonstrate musically ability and promise. |
Joseph Scott Bagwell Scholarship | Students majoring in music or music education who are graduates of Johnson high school or West Hall high school that show academic promise. |
Justice-Frye Music Scholarship | Students majoring in music or music education who demonstrate exceptional musical achievement and potential. |
Music Scholarship | Students enrolled and participating in music courses who demonstrate musical ability and leadership. Students must maintain a 3.0 average in all music courses. |
Neal-Payne Scholarship | Students with financial need majoring in music or music education who are residents of 168¿ª½±Íø¹ÙÍø’s 30-county service area and graduated from one of the public secondary schools in that service area. Student should demonstrate a propensity for leadership |
Orchestra Scholarship | Students enrolled and participating in orchestra who demonstrate musical ability and leadership. Students must maintain a 3.0 average in all music courses. |
Piano Scholarship Fund | Students enrolled and participating in applied piano who demonstrate musical ability and leadership. Students must maintain a 3.0 average in all music courses. |
Richard and Zora Alice Jarrard Scholarship | Students majoring in music or music education who are lifelong Lumpkin County residents and attended Lumpkin county public schools from K-12. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA. |
